About DiscField

We're an independent disc golf resource for recreational players. We help you choose discs, understand flight ratings and build a bag where each disc has a job.

Why we built DiscField

We play disc golf and enjoy working out which discs earn a place in the bag. Specs help, but they do not tell you whether a new disc fills a shot you actually need. We built DiscField to make that choice easier, especially if you do not want to buy five similar discs to find one that fits.

The Hex, Escape, Proxy and a Paige Shue Buzzz SS are among our favorites. We mainly use the Escape off the tee on longer holes and reach for shorter-range discs around 60 metres and in. These are notes from our rounds, not promises about how those discs will fly for anyone else.

How we check our work

We link disc facts to their sources and say when a rating or weight belongs to a specific version. Manufacturer flight numbers describe intended flight; plastic, weight, wear and your throw affect the result. We label notes from our own rounds so you can tell them apart from source facts and buying advice.

AI helps us organize research and prepare drafts. We check facts against sources and edit the advice before publishing. We do not use generated text as evidence or claim tests we have not done. Our catalog is selective, and inclusion is not a paid placement.

How we support DiscField

We plan to support the site with advertising and relevant affiliate links. Neither is active now. Manufacturer links point to our sources; retailer links are ordinary links, and we earn no commission from them. Price ranges are dated snapshots across versions, not live quotes. If we add affiliate links, we'll disclose them near the relevant links.
