What the Bee Line flight numbers suggest
Speed 14 is a distance driver rating. Recreational players usually see the rated flight only with a fast, clean throw. Thrown slower, a disc this fast fades early and loses distance. Our catalog provider lists it as a distance driver; speed 14 is faster than the typical distance driver in our database (median speed 12).
Turn -3 and fade 2 describe an understable flight: it moves right early in the flight before the finish, the shape slower arms and hyzer flips rely on. The -3 turn means it is rated to turn noticeably at full speed, which suits slower arms, hyzer flips and rollers, and the fade of 2 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 5 is typical for a distance driver in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 2.5 cm wide (about 0.98 in), wider than most distance drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Bee Line as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
