Discraft / Midrange
Buzzz
The Discraft Buzzz is one of disc golf’s most popular midranges: a speed-5 disc for everyday controlled shots with a gentle finish. It is a strong candidate for the main midrange slot in your bag.

Choose it for
A main midrange with modest fade. Use it for ordinary fairway throws and controlled approaches. Learn a few release angles with it before deciding whether your bag needs another midrange.
Choose something else if…
Choose the SS if extra turn is the missing shot. Choose the Roc3 when the gap is a stronger finish instead.
What the numbers mean for your choice
The Z Buzzz lists -1 turn and 1 fade: a little drift, then a gentle finish. A higher glide number on another disc is no reason to assume it will go farther for you. Start with the line you need and a grip you like.
Which version are you buying?
This reference uses the Z Line Buzzz. It is not the Buzzz SS or Buzzz OS, and it does not convert another plastic's published numbers to Z numbers.

Before you buy
If you like the feel of the Buzzz, build your midrange practice around it. A small numerical difference from another brand is not a reason to replace a disc that works.
Read about the Hex or compare them side by side.
Try this on your next practice session
Compare it with your current midrange on ordinary throws. Keep track of usable results over several sessions before deciding that a second mold fills a gap.
