What the Rage flight numbers suggest
Speed 10 is a fast fairway driver rating. It needs a reasonably fast, clean throw before it flies as rated; slower throws turn less and fade sooner. Our catalog provider lists it as a distance driver; speed 10 is slower than the typical distance driver in our database (median speed 12).
Turn -0.5 and fade 3.5 describe an overstable flight: little movement to the right and a dependable hook at the end, which helps in wind and on shots that must end left. The -0.5 turn is close to neutral, with only a hint of early movement at full speed, and the fade of 3.5 means a strong finish, more so into a headwind. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 5 is typical for a distance driver in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 2.2 cm wide (about 0.87 in), a typical width for a distance driver. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Rage as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
