What the SL flight numbers suggest
Speed 10 is a fast fairway driver rating. It needs a reasonably fast, clean throw before it flies as rated; slower throws turn less and fade sooner. Our catalog provider lists it as a distance driver; speed 10 is slower than the typical distance driver in our database (median speed 12).
Turn -1 and fade 2 describe a stable flight: a fairly straight line with a modest finish, the easiest shape to aim. The -1 turn means it is rated to drift a little early in the flight when thrown at full speed, and the fade of 2 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 5 is typical for a distance driver in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 2 cm wide (about 0.79 in), narrower than most distance drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the SL as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
