Choose it for
Distance for slower arms. Discraft calls it a breakthrough in distance for new and developing players and gives it a smaller rim for an easier grip. Discraft’s store lists the Heat at beginner skill level.
Choose something else if…
You already throw hard. Strong arms can turn the Heat over too far; the Undertaker is a straighter choice at the same speed.
What the Heat flight numbers mean
A -3 turn is a lot for a speed-9 disc: on a flat release it drifts right for a right-handed backhand before a light 1 fade. Discraft rates its stability at 0.
