What the Rattler flight numbers suggest

Speed 2 is a putter rating. A disc this slow flies a short, controllable line and rewards a smooth release more than arm strength.

Turn -2 and fade 1 describe an understable flight: it moves right early in the flight before the finish, the shape slower arms and hyzer flips rely on. The -2 turn means it is rated to turn noticeably at full speed, which suits slower arms, hyzer flips and rollers, and the fade of 1 means a light finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.

Glide 2 is on the low side for a putt and approach disc in our database. A low glide rating usually means a flight that drops sooner, which can make the disc easier to place on short shots. The rim is 0.6 cm wide (about 0.24 in), narrower than most putt and approach discs in our database. A rim this thin fits a fan grip or a putting grip.

Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Rattler as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
