What the Area 51 flight numbers suggest
Speed 4 is a midrange rating. Most players can bring a disc this fast up to speed, so the rated turn and fade are close to what you will see. Our catalog provider lists it as a putt and approach disc; speed 4 is faster than the typical putt and approach disc in our database (median speed 2.5).
Turn 0 and fade 2.5 describe a stable flight: a fairly straight line with a modest finish, the easiest shape to aim. The 0 turn means it is rated to hold its line at full speed rather than drifting, and the fade of 2.5 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 3 is typical for a putt and approach disc in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 1.2 cm wide (about 0.47 in), wider than most putt and approach discs in our database. A rim this thin fits a fan grip or a putting grip.
