What the Blaze flight numbers suggest
Speed 7 is a fairway driver rating. A moderate arm speed reaches the rated flight; thrown too slowly, it fades earlier than the numbers suggest. Our catalog provider lists it as a midrange; speed 7 is faster than the typical midrange in our database (median speed 5).
Turn 0 and fade 3 describe an overstable flight: little movement to the right and a dependable hook at the end, which helps in wind and on shots that must end left. The 0 turn means it is rated to hold its line at full speed rather than drifting, and the fade of 3 means a strong finish, more so into a headwind. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 4 is typical for a midrange in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 1.7 cm wide (about 0.67 in), wider than most midranges in our database.
