What the Berg X flight numbers suggest
Speed 1 is a putter rating. A disc this slow flies a short, controllable line and rewards a smooth release more than arm strength. Our catalog provider lists it as a putt and approach disc; speed 1 is slower than the typical putt and approach disc in our database (median speed 2.5).
Turn 1 and fade 2 describe a stable flight: a fairly straight line with a modest finish, the easiest shape to aim. The positive turn of 1 means the maker rates it to resist turning even when thrown hard, and the fade of 2 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 1 is on the low side for a putt and approach disc in our database. A low glide rating usually means a flight that drops sooner, which can make the disc easier to place on short shots. The rim is 0.9 cm wide (about 0.35 in), narrower than most putt and approach discs in our database. A rim this thin fits a fan grip or a putting grip.
