What the EXP1 flight numbers suggest
Speed 7 is a fairway driver rating. A moderate arm speed reaches the rated flight; thrown too slowly, it fades earlier than the numbers suggest.
Turn 0 and fade 4 describe an overstable flight: little movement to the right and a dependable hook at the end, which helps in wind and on shots that must end left. The 0 turn means it is rated to hold its line at full speed rather than drifting, and the fade of 4 means a strong finish, more so into a headwind. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 3 is on the low side for a fairway driver in our database. A low glide rating usually means a flight that drops sooner, which can make the disc easier to place on short shots. The rim is 1.8 cm wide (about 0.71 in), a typical width for a fairway driver.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the EXP1 as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
