What the Relativity flight numbers suggest
Speed 14.5 is a distance driver rating. Recreational players usually see the rated flight only with a fast, clean throw. Thrown slower, a disc this fast fades early and loses distance. Our catalog provider lists it as a distance driver; speed 14.5 is faster than the typical distance driver in our database (median speed 12).
Turn -3 and fade 1.5 describe an understable flight: it moves right early in the flight before the finish, the shape slower arms and hyzer flips rely on. The -3 turn means it is rated to turn noticeably at full speed, which suits slower arms, hyzer flips and rollers, and the fade of 1.5 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 5.5 is on the high side for a distance driver in our database. A high glide rating usually means the disc stays up longer for the same throw, which adds distance but can carry past a tight landing zone. The rim is 2.5 cm wide (about 0.98 in), wider than most distance drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
