What the A3 flight numbers suggest
Speed 4 is a midrange rating. Most players can bring a disc this fast up to speed, so the rated turn and fade are close to what you will see. Our catalog provider lists it as a putt and approach disc; speed 4 is faster than the typical putt and approach disc in our database (median speed 2.5).
Turn 0 and fade 3 describe an overstable flight: little movement to the right and a dependable hook at the end, which helps in wind and on shots that must end left. The 0 turn means it is rated to hold its line at full speed rather than drifting, and the fade of 3 means a strong finish, more so into a headwind. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 3 is typical for a putt and approach disc in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 1.4 cm wide (about 0.55 in), wider than most putt and approach discs in our database.
