What the Tasmanian Devil flight numbers suggest
Speed 9 is a fast fairway driver rating. It needs a reasonably fast, clean throw before it flies as rated; slower throws turn less and fade sooner.
Turn 0 and fade 2.5 describe a stable flight: a fairly straight line with a modest finish, the easiest shape to aim. The 0 turn means it is rated to hold its line at full speed rather than drifting, and the fade of 2.5 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 4 is typical for a fairway driver in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 2 cm wide (about 0.79 in), wider than most fairway drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Tasmanian Devil as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
