What the Dimension flight numbers suggest
Speed 14.5 is a distance driver rating. Recreational players usually see the rated flight only with a fast, clean throw. Thrown slower, a disc this fast fades early and loses distance. Our catalog provider lists it as a distance driver; speed 14.5 is faster than the typical distance driver in our database (median speed 12).
Turn 0 and fade 3 describe an overstable flight: little movement to the right and a dependable hook at the end, which helps in wind and on shots that must end left. The 0 turn means it is rated to hold its line at full speed rather than drifting, and the fade of 3 means a strong finish, more so into a headwind. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 5 is typical for a distance driver in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 2.5 cm wide (about 0.98 in), wider than most distance drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
