What the Kiwi (Raptor) flight numbers suggest
Speed 10 is a fast fairway driver rating. It needs a reasonably fast, clean throw before it flies as rated; slower throws turn less and fade sooner. Our catalog provider lists it as a fairway driver; speed 10 is faster than the typical fairway driver in our database (median speed 8).
Turn -2 and fade 2 describe an understable flight: it moves right early in the flight before the finish, the shape slower arms and hyzer flips rely on. The -2 turn means it is rated to turn noticeably at full speed, which suits slower arms, hyzer flips and rollers, and the fade of 2 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 5 is typical for a fairway driver in our database. Glide is the rating that changes least between similar discs; plastic and weight matter more for how long it stays up. The rim is 2 cm wide (about 0.79 in), wider than most fairway drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Kiwi (Raptor) as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
