What the Hammer flight numbers suggest

Speed 2 is a putter rating. A disc this slow flies a short, controllable line and rewards a smooth release more than arm strength.

Turn -1 and fade 2 describe a stable flight: a fairly straight line with a modest finish, the easiest shape to aim. The -1 turn means it is rated to drift a little early in the flight when thrown at full speed, and the fade of 2 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.

Glide 2 is on the low side for a putt and approach disc in our database. A low glide rating usually means a flight that drops sooner, which can make the disc easier to place on short shots. The rim is 1.2 cm wide (about 0.47 in), wider than most putt and approach discs in our database. A rim this thin fits a fan grip or a putting grip.

Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Hammer as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
