What the Riot flight numbers suggest
Speed 11 is a fast fairway driver rating. It needs a reasonably fast, clean throw before it flies as rated; slower throws turn less and fade sooner.
Turn -1 and fade 2 describe a stable flight: a fairly straight line with a modest finish, the easiest shape to aim. The -1 turn means it is rated to drift a little early in the flight when thrown at full speed, and the fade of 2 means a clear finish as it slows down. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 4 is on the low side for a distance driver in our database. A low glide rating usually means a flight that drops sooner, which can make the disc easier to place on short shots. The rim is 2.2 cm wide (about 0.87 in), a typical width for a distance driver. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
Try Discs, our catalog provider, lists the Riot as discontinued, so you may only find it used or in old stock. The ratings still help you understand a copy you already own and find a current disc that flies the same way.
