What the Stiletto flight numbers suggest
Speed 13 is a distance driver rating. Recreational players usually see the rated flight only with a fast, clean throw. Thrown slower, a disc this fast fades early and loses distance.
Turn 0.5 and fade 5 describe an overstable flight: little movement to the right and a dependable hook at the end, which helps in wind and on shots that must end left. The positive turn of 0.5 means the maker rates it to resist turning even when thrown hard, and the fade of 5 means a strong finish, more so into a headwind. Those directions are for a right-handed backhand; a forehand or a left-handed backhand mirrors them.
Glide 3 is on the low side for a distance driver in our database. A low glide rating usually means a flight that drops sooner, which can make the disc easier to place on short shots. The rim is 2.4 cm wide (about 0.94 in), wider than most distance drivers in our database. A rim this wide usually calls for a firm power grip.
